Epiroc Breaks Ground on New Global Distribution Centre in Sweden

25 Nov 2025 - 08:27

A major step toward a more efficient and sustainable supply chain

Epiroc AB has officially broken ground on a large-scale global distribution centre in Örebro, Sweden. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as a central hub for the company’s aftermarket products, enhancing delivery efficiency and improving service for customers around the world.

Purpose and Strategic Impact

The investment comes as a response to Epiroc’s rapid growth and rising customer demand. Over recent years, the distribution network in Örebro has become spread across several smaller sites. Consolidating these activities into one advanced facility will enable streamlined logistics, improved operational safety, better working conditions, and a reduced environmental footprint.

“The new distribution centre that we start building now is a key step in our journey to optimise our supply chain, which benefits customers and supports Epiroc’s profitable growth.”
Helena Hedblom, President and CEO, Epiroc

Facility Overview

The new distribution centre will cover 29,000 m² and feature modern automation technologies as well as on-site solar panels to support sustainable operations. Once operational, it will handle a wide range of aftermarket products, including spare parts for Epiroc’s drill rigs, loaders, and mining trucks.

The facility is expected to be inaugurated in the second half of 2027.
