Epiroc Secures Major Order for Mining Equipment and Digital Solutions in Ghana
Epiroc AB, a global leader in productivity and sustainability solutions for the mining and infrastructure industries, has secured a significant order from Asante Gold Corp. for advanced mining equipment and digital technologies. The order will support operational upgrades at the Chirano Gold Mine, a combined open-pit and underground operation located in southwestern Ghana.
Scope of the New Contract
Under the agreement, Asante Gold is acquiring a full fleet of underground mining equipment, including haul trucks, loaders, face drilling rigs and production drilling rigs. In addition to the machinery, Epiroc will supply spare parts, tooling, maintenance support and an advanced digital situational awareness platform.
This digital solution will enable near real-time monitoring of machine utilization and production data—such as tonnage moved, drill meters completed, and cycle times—helping the mine significantly enhance efficiency and operational control.
Contract Value and Delivery Timeline
The order, booked in the third quarter of 2025, is valued at approximately SEK 115 million (USD 12 million).
Equipment deliveries have already begun and will continue over the coming months.
“We are very pleased to support Asante Gold with our state-of-the-art loaders, trucks and drilling rigs. The digital situational awareness solution will enhance both operational efficiency and safety through improved production monitoring.”
